Why Are You Waiting To Change Your Lifestyle?

I want to thank you all for your support before, during and after my 50 mile ultra trail race this past weekend. I never imagined I would do a race of that distance.

I can remember when I never imagined that I would be a runner and almost gave up after a little knee pain, only to find that I just needed to work into it slowly and build my strength. No- it does not happen in a day for anyone. Yes- some are faster than others, but it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you take care of yourself and enjoy it.

When I qualified for Boston with my first marathon, it was beyond my imagination and never did I expect to qualify for three of them. To complete three Ironman races was something I had never even thought of doing– and the next thing I know, it IS happening. To cross the Grand Canyon was a dream that came true, and there are so many more adventures that I am dreaming of and planning to do!

The great part is that it just keeps getting better in so many different ways. I am exploring new experiences with new friends, and I just love it. Before, during and after every experience, run, race, ride, swim– whatever…I am grateful that it is a part of who I am.

If you are even thinking about fitness on any level, just start. No one will judge you– but rather you will find a ton of support and love. It will change your life, and ultimately helps you handle what life throws at you. If you are not sure, feel intimidated, worried– reach out to me or a friend. Getting started is the hardest part. Sticking to it it the most awesome part.
