Today was simply beautiful. Today, I witnessed so much love. Just look at the son embracing the father, letting him know– “Dad, I love you and I am proud of you.”
Friends and family came out to support my good friend, Scott, for his baptism. The photo is of Scott and his son taken early this Easter morning. The love and support gushed out of each and every person I saw this morning. Nothing else mattered– they were there to fill and be filled.
Many of us are in different places in our lives, but what we all can do and have in common is to give love and support wherever we are. Scott was very brave (not only to get into the cold ocean water), but to profess his belief (or allegiance, as Pastor Mark stated) in front of his family and friends.
Was he nervous? Maybe. I really don’t know. But what I do know is that everyone simply showed love. It was so harmonious, even as a storm seemed to be approaching. It was joyful, even as the winds picked up and the thought if getting into that cold water may have seemed daunting. Nothing mattered, except love and support.
Thank you, Scott, for showing us all how important it is to do what you feel is right in your heart and soul.
Much love friends,
Kyra
