A healthy lifestyle is a combination of many things. It isn’t just about eating healthy foods or going to the gym, but it encompasses your surroundings and the way you think too. While it often seems like such a burden to make changes, it isn’t as bad you think. Sometimes, we end up not seeing the delight in changes because we simply have never experienced them. Think about it. How can you know how great a change can be for you if you don’t give it a shot?
Healthy lifestyles are found when you begin to incorporate them into your daily lives. For some, it happens overnight, but for others, it is a gradual process. Either way, it is amazing. You have to get some guts and dive in. Make a commitment to yourself and your family. The better you feel, the better you can give. Here are some steps you can take to get started.
Step 1: Start to think about what you eat. How do you feel?
Step 2: Are you spending time on your feet? What do you do to keep a healthy heart?
Step 3: What is your environment like? Do you surround yourself with positivity?
I learned this through the loss of my son when he was 4 ½ months old. I knew that if I did not take better care of myself, there was just no way that I could be a giver, encompass empathy, love and compassion for others.
Give thought to your surroundings, the food that you put into your body, the time you spend on your feet verses sitting, the mindset of love for everyone; just embrace the idea that if you live and think differently you will LIVE and LOVE better! Living a lifestyle that FEELS good will not only change how you feel, but it will change your perspective and create joy within you.
